1. I’m sure the corn farmers of the Midwest who voted for him in overwhelming numbers are glad to hear that we’re going to abandon high fructose corn syrup. And

2. Does he realize that what he’s proposing already exists? It’s called “Mexican Coke”, because there are no tariffs on cane sugar in Mexico, so the price is lower than adulterating it with corn syrup. We could import even more of it than we do now (it’s available in most major supermarket chains around the country) by bringing it in by the shipload, transshipping Mexican Coke through the Gulf of America ;)
