Sorta reminds me of Star Wars (the prequels). The Senate voted to give Palpatine dictatorial powers, and Amadala said something like "this is how democracy ends, with thunderous applause". The Trumpies are cheering for Trump to win, and he's already said what he plans to do in that eventuality (which is basically start a purge of his enemies, and greatly curtail our institutions that could stop him).

Maybe he'll have a stroke or something before we have to find out.
