The people pointing out that Melania's English is rough were/are doing so only in that MAGA doesn't care about that, but very much care that non-white immigrants have rough English.

If MAGA didn't call out, for example, Mexicans about it, no one would have had to point out they were being inconsistent with respect to Melania (whom has been here decades).

As an aside, I totally agree that you should have to learn English if you are going to become a citizen. Which is pretty much the law already. The only exceptions are for age and disability, in which case you can take the citizenship test in another language. Otherwise, no. It's in English, and you must pass. I know this first-hand, plus I just double-checked to be sure it hadn't changed. It hadn't.
