When I was in high school, at the end of the 60s, one of my classmates commented on an observation he had made, during a massive anti-war demonstration. The FBI agents in the crowd were easy to spot. They had the long hair, beards, and clothes right, but they will wore their spit shined oxford shoes. There is a lesson in there, somewhere, about organizational ossification.
