True, she is stupid, but there is just as much batshit crazy shit on the Republican side.

Yeah, but there's a long history of political parties taking a single person on the other side and using their batshit crazy as an effective cudgel. The Michele Bachmans and Todd Akins of the world are minor political players, but can end up having an outsized role in an election cycle.

Look for the GOP to elevate CAD as being what the Democratic party really stands for. And look for her and her allies to go right along and echo/elevate that message as much as possible. These things often become symbiotic. CAD will benefit enormously by having her national profile raised, and the GOP will benefit enormously by raising her national profile.
