Who was the last one - I can't honestly remember.

Maybe Chuck Hagel? Mind you the Liz Cheney types and Israeli mule types never liked him.

But seriously I can't think of the last competent SecDef.

This guy.....I'm not sure he could run a Walmart but then again, most government types and academic types are that way.
