Board, or the right-wing word salad bored?

On the original 'official' atheist board at the Fool there was lots of no-god, anti-god, no church talk when it first launched. After a while most everything that could be said had been said, except for the occasional, if regular, eruptions thanks to some new law some idiot was trying pass in Tennessee or something. I(In that way it was like the Berkshire board; calculating IV for the 832nd time led to discussions of other, sometimes OT things.)

Over time the board devolved into a 'this is where atheists can converse about anything without fear (slang, not actual 'fear') of being interrupted or hectored by the Jesus committee. In that way there were conversations about the origin of the universe, morality of different countries, the beginnings of civilization and such, and occasionally a good recipe that someone found.

The board had participants from the left and the right, and even the political discussions were held with less vituperation than existed on Political Asylum. In that way it was a nice little asylum of its own.

I hope this board lives up to it.
