I saw there's a suit in the justice system gathering up all the Jan 6 folk and complaining about their light sentences. I'll have to find something on that suit. I remember thinking - You can do that? Do we get to upgrade everyone sentences if we win? Or is it just a slap at judges?

If so, that's not really a lawsuit - it's the DOJ appealing sentences in the various individual cases. They are allowed to do that, though it's unusual for the DOJ to appeal a sentence as too light (it's usually the defendant challenging a sentence for being too long).
