“The Buck Stops Here” sits on the Resolute Desk.

But the Resolute Desk was taken out of the Oval Office back in February, for “light refurbishing”.

Who knows where it is being “refurbished? (For ten months?)

Nobody knows.

Some wild tales being told concerning where it ended up.

I’ll wait another few months before I start wondering if it’s ever coming back.

But I do fantasize about that grand old desk…..gathering dust in some out of the way White House closet…

…… with Harry the Haberdasher’s sign about stopping bucks…gathering dust along with the desk.


Somehow, it fits the current moment.
