Subject: Re: Covid, the conspiracy nuts got it right, again
"Typical condescending reply from Umm. No originality."
It got straight to the point that the OP was falsely portraying the arguments being made. That is a 100% true statement. I pointed this out to him and mentioned that it is something he does regularly. Why do you think he does it regularly?
In the past I would try and explain why or where he was wrong or other people would provide him with tons of links showing where he was wrong, but he was never willing to engage in honest discourse. He would just continue with the dishonesty. If someone is not willing to engage in honest discourse then all they are doing is taking a dump on the boards. Yes, I look condescendingly upon people who purposefully shit all over my living room.
If someone is willing to engage in honest discourse, I will treat them with the respect they deserve. If someone is just going to engage in dishonesty, they do not deserve respect. Constantly being dishonest with others is insulting. There are plenty of people who get treated respectfully. They engage in honest discourse. Honest discourse involves not misrepresenting what other people say or misrepresent what their motivations are. It involves taking the time to properly understand the arguments your opponents are making and acknowledging when they are making points you cannot refute by at least adjusting your own argument to account for their points.
"I believe that Covid was deliberately created as a part of gain of function research, but accidentally released. Even the Chinese won't be so stupid as to eage biological warfare on their own people and the rest of the world, with no aim."
Right. You have demonstrated that you are willing to believe lots of crazy things without evidence simply because the poor sources of information you use will take advantage of your lack of knowledge about a situation and use repeat inuendo over and over to paint a false picture.
"And all you armchair lawyers, of course there won't be a smoking gun. Epstein was suicided, Benazir Bhutto was gunned down in broad daylight, there is no smoking gun in such blatant cases. Stop demanding proof and judge with common sense."
What common sense are you using? That is a serious question. Show you want to engage in honest discourse.
Also, you should know that it is usual for conspiracy theorists to use the same logic you are using. The fact that no one can produce any significant evidence is proof of the cover up of the conspiracy. That is "common sense" in conspiracy circles.
"But defending the Wuhan lab was nonsense and they knew it. Pure CYA because CDC partly funded and cooperated with Wuhan."
The CDC partly funds and co-operates with lots of labs around the world. Especially in areas known to have subpar health and sanitary controls where there is significant risk of cross species infections. So if there is an outbreak somewhere in the world, it isn't unusual for the CDC to have ties to a lab in the area. That is literally what they are trying to do catch outbreaks as soon as they are discovered. Why do you think China has a lab in Wuhan? It is an area notorious for cross species contamination with their unsanitary open food markets.
Here is some real common sense question that always confounds so many conspiracy theorists. How many people are in on the alleged conspiracy? Common sense would tell you that if it is more than a handful of people, it will come to light, especially if it involves partisan political investigations from congress. How many people would it take to cover up the conspiracy that the CDC knew what Wuhan was doing and are hiding it? At least dozens. From scientists, to administrators, to budget guys, to IT people. All of whom have no dog in the fight yet would risk their jobs and jailtime by lying to investigators in order to cover it up.
Why do you think so many people are lying about your allegation that the CDC is covering up knowledge of it?
