Subject: Re: Palantir: Universal National Service
Gosh, it’s such an interesting story.

For example, the CEO of Palantir, Alex Karp, has never served in the military.

And Peter Thiel, Chairman of Palantir, has never served in the military.

Shazam Shankar, CTO of Palantir, has an “honorary” position in the military’s “Detachment 201: Executive Innovation Corp”, which meets irregularly and conducts no military type operations. He has never, for instance, been to “boot camp.”

Stephen Cohen, co-founder and President, has never served in the military. He is a computer scientist/entrepreneur.

Board member Lauren Friedman Stat is a veteran … of Accenture, not the military.

I did, after digging deep, find two members of the C-suite who served in the military. One of them retired from the military so he could immediately become a big shot at Palantir, so: money.

Good policy: “All you dweebs must serve in the military. We will make size dollars from the military.”

See how it works?
