It's rejected largely because they are influenced by the propaganda. You are correct, we can't just ignore that disconnect from reality because it is real. By all metrics, the economy is doing really well. But people are inundated by "it's terrible" messages all day every day, and they start to believe it. We need (somehow) to get real information to those poor souls. Ignoring them will only harm the Dems.

And, yes, that is a bit frustrating. Whether religion, or the economy, or the status of Elvis...it's difficult to get through to some people what reality actually is.
