I think that's the major lesson here. There was not a huge shift in Congress, possibly because Biden DID get out of the race. The House is virtually unchanged. The Senate was always going to be tough for Democrats this year even if there was a strong Presidential candidate who won. To lose only two seats (given that one was Manchin and almost a guaranteed loss), isn't bad at all.
My own district is one of the closest races in the country and still hasn't been called with 99% of the votes counted. CA 45. Republican incumbent is losing by less than 600 votes out of over 310,000 cast, and will probably stay that way. With an unpopular Biden at the top of the ticket, we probably stay Republican fairly clearly.
