Did you know the Democratic Party was bad at messaging?

If you believe the pundits, news reports and the media outlets who manufactured the phrase “economic anxiety,” so they wouldn’t have to describe Donald Trump as “racist,” Kamala Harris would have succeeded President Hillary Clinton if the Democratic Party were better at telling stories.

According to Ezra Klein and other celebrated sayers of stuff, Democrats are terrible at convincing white people to not be racist. Meanwhile, Republicans are great at convincing a diverse group of uneducated, white people that the GOP is the answer to problems like anti-white racism, protecting constitutional rights, ending the weaponization of the DOJ, promoting Christian values and unifying the country. Why is the GOP so good at conveying its message about small government, family values, fiscal responsibility and patriotism?

Sure, it’s all lies, but why can’t Democrats bullshit as well as Republicans? When will they stop talking about climate change, social justice and taxing the rich? Will they ever realize that facts, science and reality don’t work with people who like Confederate flags, AR-15s and Elon Musk? Why are they so opposed to sprinkling a little racism in their talking points? Just look at how the Democrats’ messaging has shifted the electorate since 1994:
