You treat spreading lies like it is a joke. It's not. People take these lies seriously and end up ruining their own lives and the lives of others. We're approaching 1000 people convicted for the January 6 coup attempt. Most of those convicted are facing serious prison time - 20 years in one of the most recent cases. And this guy wasn't a leader, just an ordinary follower of Trump's lies.

Even for those who get shorter sentences, they're now convicted felons, which is going to stay with them forever. Their families are paying a price as well, children growing up missing a parent, spouses left to handle everything on their own - with some probably seeking a divorce. Parents seeing their children in prison. These are lives wrecked because someone lied to them and they believed it.

And you just laugh.
