We will be dealing with the aftereffects of Trump's "genius"
for the rest of our lives, thanks MAGA.

I'm approaching 80, so the 'rest of my life' probably isn't much time. But I do worry about the world my son and all of our children and grandchildren will inherit.

I hate the prospect of living my remaining years in a democracy forever hollowed out and ruined by a corrupt demagogue and his foolish adherents. Still, I hold out hope that our nation can recover.

And I hope to live to see the day when Trump is forever consigned to the dustbin of history.
