Subject: The Question
CENTCOM tells us that six ballistic missiles fired at Bahrain and Kuwait were intercepted!
Great! But in a war that measures success by results, the unanswered question is:
How many missiles got through? And what damage was inflicted?
Whizzbangery counts for little if the percentages and cost/benefit are against you.
An Arleigh Burke can track dozens of threats simultaneously and fire off dozens of missiles to intecept them.
Possible headline in near future:
Last night an Arleigh Burke destroyer successfully intercepted 55 Iranian missiles!
Great!
(Unfortunately, one of those missiles was not intercepted, got through and sank the destroyer)
