We old phartz remember everyone twitching about Iran's inventory of "Silkworm" anti-ship missiles, in the 80s. They have more advanced models now. But, if the objective is to simply set a ship on fire, like the one they lit up a couple days ago, their cheap little, propeller driven, drones, would be a real menace. iirc, Iran also has remote control "suicide" boats, similar to those used by Ukraine, that could be a real nuisance too. The point has already been made: the insurance companies have run for cover, sending the risk assessment for shipping firms off the chart.
