He wasn't a whacko when appointed, nor was he a whacko while serving. So, that means he went RWNJ while NOT appointed (ended in 2023, so after). That leaves you hanging--again.

Or…… he was a whacko all along and he simply hid his wackiness until early Saturday morning. Walz may not have even known him. The guy may simply have been on a list of appointees to a bipartisan board (which implies the guy could have been a Republican all along)

Regardless of his party affiliation, he obviously wanted to kill a whole bunch of Democrats in a hurry.
