Subject: Re: IF there was a dividend...
IF there was a dividend paid by BRK, and IF it was at an average yield to the S&P which i believe is around 1.7%...
What would this roughly be in dollars for A and B shares?
It would be 1.7% * $304.66 = $5.18 for B shares, or 1.7% * $461,912 = $7852.50, for A shares. In other words, if Berkshire declared an annual dividend of $5.18 per B share, the dividend yield today (at market close) would be 5.18/$304.66 = 1.7%; if B shares then rose to $400, the dividend yield would be down to 1.3%, unless they increased the dividend from $5.18.
Is that what you were asking?
