Subject: Re: Trump Loves Mamdani?
Several recent examples: The flip flop on Epstein files; pulling back on the tariffs (which he will obviously continue to change based on how the economy is doing leading up to next year's elections); advocating for eliminating the filibuster (going against Thune's position) during the shutdown.
Or, he is simply looking at the polls. Stonewalling on Epstein was not polling well. Tariffs that aren't protecting USian's jobs, don't poll well. The health insurance premium increases have not been made real to the Proles yet.
from the net sifter:
From April to November 2025, Donald Trump's job approval rating generally declined, though specific numbers varied between polls. In April, approval was near 47% (a second-term high), dropping to about 41% by October and 38% by November, with significant disapproval in each poll. Disapproval increased across many areas, particularly the economy, and a majority of voters expressed frustration with his performance
He is a showman. Ratings for his show matter to him. So, he makes a show of embracing a populist. iirc. Mamdani ran on the same sort of thing Trump did, like making things affordable for Proles. We will see if Trump changes policy, or continues down the path of making health insurance unaffordable, making food unaffordable, making education unaffordable.
