Subject: Re: Trump's Memorial Day Message
On a day like today, it should be remembered that President Biden has had a dead son who served in the military.
Donald Trump even before he ever became president, insulted and made fun of a Gold Star family because they disagreed with him. He then insulted all of America's fallen heroes when he attacked John McCain by saying he likes heroes who do not get captured (like it is their fault for following orders and doing a dangerous job). Then according to a first person account of his Chief of Staff, Trump called soldiers suckers and losers, and didn't want to appear where there would be soldiers who were permanently wounded in action (i.e. lost and arm or a leg).
It is quite clear that there is one candidate who really respects the sacrifices made by soldiers and their families fighting for America, but has also lived through the worry and the pain of service, contrasting with the other candidate who thinks soldiers are suckers and losers.
There is a reason Donald Trump lost significant support voting wise from military personnel between 2016 and 2020.
Are you someone who gives lip service to the military heroes who have lost their lives in action by having a barbeque once a year on you holiday off, or do you really respect the sacrifices the dead militia men have made by actually respecting their service?
