Subject: Re: Favourites
It seems the idea is that some algorithm realizes which boards you like most after some time.

Thanks Aguila. Your post was most helpful because what was really at fault was the communications. The user is left in the dark as to how Favourites is calculates.

Your favourites come up *very* quickly. If you read 20 posts, it will already be there, but if you like a few post, then it is there much faster. There has to be a reasonable hurdle or everything will be in your favourites.

The explanation previously only appears when you already have a favourite, but now it explains how it works from the start, as follows:

Favourites
This page will list the boards that you have read the most,
sorted in order of the most loved boards. You need to
complete more reading for before your first board will
appear here. Any reading that you did prior to signing
up will not contribute to this. Shrewd on!

Your Love Factor is calculated with one point for every
50 post views by you, and one point for every 5
recommendations by you. The boards listed above all
reached a Love Factor of 1.
Shrewded.

You'll enjoy the way it works, hang in there. *Some* users don't have the initiative to select a board as a favourite with TMF and would continually search through Companies / B / Berkshire every time they open their browser. That is taken care of automatically in Shrewdom.
