Defender of the Faith Trump, appointed the Muslim mayor of Dearborn Heights, which is on the west border of Dearborn, to an ambassadorship. Trump sucks as well as anyone. Of course, before the election, Bazzi sucked Trump.

On October 8, 2025, Bazzi resigned as mayor following the Senate confirmation of his ambassadorship to Tunisia.
