Subject: Poisoning the blood of our country
Trump’s language around immigrants is getting uglier and uglier — even, critics say, explicitly racist.

“They’re poisoning the blood of our country. That’s what they’ve done,” he said this weekend while campaigning, echoing language used by Adolf Hitler.

It's one thing to want to fix our immigration system. Like many Democrats, I'm all for that. But Trump is using this issue exactly like any hateful demagogue would...to stir up hatred and xenophobia. And with the deranged Trump cult it works very well.

And I truly think many Republicans like things just as they are; it's an issue that is useful for them in controlling the MAGA crowd.
