There’s no need for ordinary citizens to arm themselves unless they plan to be on the losing side of a very short fight.

Therefore deep down you know that Trump could not even come close to ending democracy. So why does your side keep screaming Nazi, Hitler, etc? Just a divisive talking point.

Wrong conclusion. I think the point was that the U.S. military could easily wipe out group of armed or unarmed U.S. citizens without breaking into a sweat.

Therefore, we should be overly cautious of electing a president who thinks it would be a good idea to use the power of government for, say, retribution. Because at some point, regardless of your beliefs, you will be on the receiving end of that retribution.
