This? Only if you are sidestepping the question. No doubt Trump is a vile, selfish, ignorant candidate, but is he a real threat to democracy?
On the one hand your side screams Hitler, Nazi, Fascist, end of democracy at every opportunity, but on the other hand you say Trump attempting to assume dictatorial powers is not possible.

The other side of the civil war will be the national guard and the US Army with their considerably larger firepower. I doubt the Navy, Air Force, and Marines will need to dirty their uniforms at all. At most, the Air Force might assist with some logistics.
There’s no need for ordinary citizens to arm themselves unless they plan to be on the losing side of a very short fight.
BTW, you are right, so why switch to a different argument that Trump will exact retribution. That seems tiny when compared to him being Hitler and implementing facism.
